Clive Barker's Hellraiser: Revival demo
Yes — there is a free demo, and it is on Steam only. It went live on September 17, 2026, and the demo's Steam news feed shows a further update on September 21, 2026. There is no demo on PlayStation 5, on Xbox Series X|S or on Switch 2.
What the demo covers
Per the demo's own Steam page, it lets you "meet the main characters", play through the Prologue, and then a portion of Episode 1 — escaping the Scarlet Church. It also teaches the basics of puzzle solving, crafting and combat. In other words, it is the opening stretch of the game, not a separate mode or a slice of the middle.
How to get it
- Open the demo's Steam page (app 5184670) and click Install Demo — it is free, with no purchase required.
- The demo needs about 50 GB of space, the same figure Saber's own support FAQ gives for the full game.
- Steam is the only storefront that carries it. PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo do not have a demo for this game, and the demo's own store page carries no region-lock notice, so no VPN is needed where it is listed. One region is the exception: on September 29, 2026 Steam returned no store data for the demo in Germany — or for the full game either — so do not count on downloading it there.
Demo progress does not carry over
No — demo progress does not carry over into the full game. The demo's own Steam page states that "progress in the demo will not carry over to the full game", so do not expect demo saves, unlocks or achievements to follow you into the full release (app 5184670, as of September 27, 2026). The wording is Saber Interactive's own: it appears on the developer's and publisher's listing for the demo, and it is not repeated in Saber's support FAQ or on the full game's store page.
What the demo is not
- It is not a time-limited trial of the full game — it is a fixed section of the opening.
- It is not available on consoles, so a PS5 or Xbox player cannot try before buying.
